Given the recent close votes at Niagara on the Lake Council on some controversial planning proposals that seriously affect the protection of heritage in town, The Niagara Foundation is reminding four councillors of what promises they made to voters prior to their election. The discussion and votes by these councillors seems to be in contradiction to what they said when they were standing for election.
There will be another opportunity for councillors to re-visit their comments and votes on these matters at the July 30 Council meeting.
